The pace is getting faster, and recently I read an article which quotes Thomas Friedman explaining that after publishing his book “The World is Flat” one year back, the world in fact has become even flatter and faster so than he would have fathomed. Here an other acquisition-milestone from Wipro with buying NewLogic:
“In the product engineering space, ownership of IP [intellectual property] is a key asset for building services revenues,” said Ramesh Emani, president of the product engineering solutions group at Wipro. “The NewLogic acquisition is a significant step in our plans to be the leader in the wireless IP and [radio frequency] technology space.”
India and the companies in its enlarged eco-system are indeed becoming the hotbed for R&D with global reach.
