The picture the view from my bungalow down to the sea where I spent New Year. The best country in the world? I don’t have to think twice: Thailand. I guess I have been 10 times there already. And it gets confirmed again and again. Where in the world will you have the most friendly and respectful people, the best food, the greatest weather, an incredibly diverse landscape, a functioning infrastructure and everything really reasonably priced? Admittedly, not all of these properties hold true in India, so I returned with a not unheafty cultural shock and got welcomed by “men going on the bathroom” (=men pissing against walls) throughout the whole city. Strange, I did not see any of them in Thailand. Is their blatter different or do they just behave better? Hm …
