After the Nasscom 2006-fairwell party I boarded flight number LH 757 whose Boing 747 brought me with some turbulence, though safely to Frankfurt then further to Munich. After a few hours of relaxation, I hit the road again – always be a moving target :-) – to Garmisch-Partenkirchen with one of my best friends Markus whom I still know from school to the flat of another very good friend Christian. Went out to the so-so nightlife of Garmisch, had a few hours of sleep, today we put our skiing equipment on and off we went to the slope of Kreuzeck on a beautiful day with sun and really awesome skiing conditions. See a picture of the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest point with almost 3000 meters.

Skiing in the cold was indeed quite a contrast to the heat of Mumbai in the last days, but it’s a great sport including the tradition to go for lunch in one of the wooden huts (“Skihütten”) and then go again for the afternoon ride.
Coming back to Munich a bit exhausted, I am still quite under the impression of the incredibly inspiring Nasscom conference and I’m just about to follow up on some contacts that I made and do some reading of the material which Nasscom provided – especially the one about innovation.
Albeit being a staunch proponent of this flat world where I feel like a nomad with a virtual visa for any country, I do acknowledge that life is local, your friends are local and the beauty of such a skiing slope is particularly local, too.

Oh you jetsetter, I am green with envy (again…).
But please to announce that I am going to ski too;-))
If you are in EU then (10-18 March) do join us on the piste in Kirchberg!!
I can show you my new moves;-)
